Pog Guidelines
Status effects include penalties (dazed, -2 to all attacks) and bonuses (+2 to next atack, fire resistance 5). The following guidelines should help to manage status effects and their expiry.
Marking status effects
Mark status effects on pogs like so:
- Status: Bloodied, +1 all attacks, Dazed (Lothar), Fire 5 (save ends), -2 all defenses (Lothar), Marked (Tursas)
The brackets following a status effect contain the conditions under which the status effect ends. Most will be of three types: No brackets, save ends, and name.
No brackets: The status effect doesn’t automatically end. It may be permanent or last indefinitely until remedied. (Examples: Prone, Bloodied.)
Save ends: Apply any ongoing damage at the start of this pog’s turn. Roll a save at the end of the pog’s turn for each “save ends”.
[Name], or [Name] Ends: Lasts until the end of the named character/monster’s turn. At the end of your turn, remove all effects with your name from all pogs except ones you remember adding or renewing this turn.
Your pog
On your pog, keep the following tracked:
- HP (current/total)
- Status effects
You can track healing surges and action points on your pog or on your character sheet.
In addition, give the DM your AC, Fort, Ref, Will, Perception and Insight stats.
Enemy pogs
Enemy pogs should show:
- Damage
- Status effects
